What is this NO8DO? It is everywhere.

Seen in plaza's and on sides of streets to block traffic from entering pedestrian areas.
I am here in Sevilla, Spain for the 3rd time and I have been, as I always do, walking around a lot. I began to pay attention to this curious symbol of NO8DO posted in many locations in the city. I remembered from the first time I was here in 2008 hearing something about this symbol but could not remember the full details of it. So I have been taking as many pictures as I can of the symbol in the city.  I would like share what I have found starting with the history of the symbol. Then I will go into explaining each picture and where I found them and my own speculation as to why this symbol is on that particular place.
Seen on a replica poster from the 1934 Feria.

While this seems simple and it is quite straight forward, it is a very significant symbol to all Sevillan's and I think it very important for all visitors to read about it and know of it. If I can explain it well in English on a public forum then I can contribute to the understanding of Sevillan's and perhaps it can add to the tourism of this great place that I hold so dear top my heart.

Six years ago she (Sevilla) captured my heart with her beauty, culture and people. So, now I want to do all I can to pass on the love, curiosity and understanding to others.  NO8DO is a beautiful story of the love, loyalty and respect of the people and I hope I can show it well. Stay tuned for details of my investigation into this logo/motto found in Sevilla.
